To update your license information (*.VTC file) on your hardlock, please follow the following instructions:

1. possibility (for all types of hardlocks):

Install the renewed program from CD-Rom. In this case you can specify an alternative license file during the setup of registration page. Select your new VTC file which was recently downloaded or received via email. At the end of the installation wizard, the new VTC file is applied to hardlock by setup program and then the newest license is available.

2. possibility (for all types of hardlocks):

Start the program HLUpdate.EXE. This program can be found in the subdirectory "Tools\HL-Server" or "Tools\HL-Driver" on the installation CD. After running the program on the computer, in which the hardlock is plugged, please enter the serial number of your hardlock. After that, select the path to the new VTC file.

3. possibility (only for hardlock server, a green/purple hardlock):

Install AKS monitor. This installation program is in the subdirectory "Tools\HL-Server" of the installation CD. Start the file AKSMON32.EXE and follow the instructions of the installation wizard.
After installation, start the program from start menu: Start -> Programs -> Aladdin -> Monitor -> AKS Monitor. After running you will see one or more computer systems on the left of the screen. Select the to be updated system, on which hardlock is attached. Then click on the left-hand to be updated hardlock. On the right-hand parts of the window you will see to two tables. Between these two tables, there is a button UPDATE to confirm the operation. On the lower part of the opened dialog, you can locate the VTC file. Select the VTC file which lies in the attachment of the E-mail. Confirm the task with sending the file to hardlock and close the program.
